Untapped #9 – Indie Music Competition

As part of our music nights we are hosting a competition for bands to try-out to participate in Untapped #10. That’s right, we’re looking for the best of Toronto’s indie music community to come out and battle for a chance to land a spot on the roster for the last slot of our semi-final nights! So visit to sign your band up!

The Friends of Big Rock are holding beer sampling events across the city for Torontonians to discover the taste of Big Rock beer. Come out and try samples of our four beers, Grasshöpper, Trad, Pale Ale and Warthog. Over the course of the summer we will be visiting; The Rebel House, Joe Badali’s, Betty’s, Jawny Baker’s, Dr. Generosity and The Rhino. For a complete schedule, please check online.

Aspiring photographers! Get your friends together and take pictures of the best Friends of Big Rock experiences. Submit your best, most artistic Big Rock photo to the Grasshoppies online. THE EDDIES

The Big Rock Eddies is an Oscars-style gala celebration of everything Big Rock started in 1994 when Ed McNally, founder of Big Rock Brewery, had the innovative idea to have Big Rock fans make commercials for his local, independently brewed beer. Who better to spread the word about his beer than those who drink it! Guests dress in outrageous outfits and drinks keep everyone energized throughout the night.
