Traditional

Traditional

"Trad", for short. An English-syle amber ale, dark copper in colour with a soft and distinctive taste and careful balance of malt and hops.

A perfect starter beer for a new Big Rock fan. In northern England, this style of beer is often served with cheesy salads or leek puddings and is often used to moisten stuffings for chicken, veal or pork. Closer to home, Traditional can be enjoyed with a wide variety of foods including beef and lamb dishes, spicy foods like chili, barbecued meats, why even grandma’s apple pie.

Grasshöpper

Grasshöpper

Let's set the record straight - this brew contains no grasshoppers, absolutely none. A crisp and delicately hopped wheat ale. Served with a lemon wedge, this is a refreshing beer, perfect for summer and winter (and all months in-between).

Wheat ales are described as breakfast beers in Bavaria and served in the morning with veal sausage. Here at home, Grasshöpper is perfect with a delicate sausage – try one with bratwurst and sauerkraut. Grasshöpper’s acidic nature makes it a nice choice for sushi or smoked salmon. It can even be used as a substitute for vinegar or lemon juice in your salad dressing. When you’re finished dinner, serve it with pie or other fruity dishes for dessert.

Pale Ale

Pale Ale

Mirror, mirror on the bar wall, who is the palest of them all? Don't tell this beer you can't find flavour in a pale ale, he simply won't believe it.

A traditional, dry-hopped genuine pale ale, this beer tastes oh so good with caviar, most fish, smoked salmon, fried seafood and summer barbeque. Because Pale Ale works very well at cutting the heat of spicy foods, it can rescue you from hot chilis, curries and other spicy foods.

Warthog

Warthog

The one everybody can agree on. The best looking Warthog you will ever lay eyes on. Clean, pure, refreshing and thirst quenching bliss.

Our mild brown ale goes great with chicken with a black bean or garlic sauce. It’s also a great partner for beef and lamb dishes, pizza and barbequed just about anything. You can even enjoy it with Mexican cuisine, many pasta dishes and cheescake for dessert – the food pairings are as accessible and delicious as the beer itself.
